Success 1st week back....

Well I am over my birthday now and over the Festive season so there was nothing else to do than to get back on track.

This week was interesting to say the least. Tuesday was perfect - I planned and tracked not to mention felt great but then due to the Brisbane floods my whole week turned upside down. I was asked to work out of a different office in a call centre environment. The building that houses our Customer Service Centre (responsible for the running of our logistics) was evacuated and they set up a make shift office here and with my quarry experience was asked to asist with the order taking etc.

I had somewhat a good week except for a blow out on the weekend..

Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed the whole experience even thought the circumstances behind the change were tragic, working with new people and also the change from what I normally do. But there has been temptations!!! Food temptations - my company provided brunch (danishes, muffins, savouries, fruit) and lunches (subway, pizza, sushi) and not to mention the afternoon sugar fixes of bowls of lollies and tim tams. Needless to say I packed my food supplies for the working days the night before to ensure that I would try and eliminate temptation. I did however have Subway for lunch on Monday which was okay I guess! The other problem I faced was the long days (starting at 5am every morning) and finishing whenever - I am not a good thinker when I am tired.... which after working Saturday as well I was exhausted!

My blow out on the weekend came in the form of takeaway pizza. Why pizza??? I just couldn't be bothered. I was physically and mentally exhausted from the last week and after working most of Saturday and then doing the grocery shopping I just couldn't think outside the pizza box!! My mam had gone to her friend's for the night and Noel had gone out also leaving just me and the kids. We planned a movie night and unfortunately pizza just happened.

My weigh in this week saw a loss of 0.5kg though which probably would have been better if the weekend blow out didn't happen - but I guess the most important thing is that I am happy with my result as it could have been a lot worse.

I really feel good for doing the best I could when I could - this journey is about ME and MY life not a rigid diet regime and some things are just going to happen......

I'm the same way when I'm tired. I don't know if it's because I'm not thinking clearly or my body is trying to compensate for fewer hours of sleep with increased caloric consumption.

I think we all have more willpower when we've gotten our beauty sleep.

Keep it up!
