While it wasn't a huge milestone such as a 50th, we believe it is... firstly and sadly NONE of our friend's marriages have lasted this long - in fact not many marriages in these times last this long. So we are pretty chuffed with ourselves and the fact that after 17 years of marriage (and 21 years together) we can still say we "adore" each other because we DO!!
Any how celebrating of course means food and the accompanying alcohol!!! I did keep an eye on my points and did slip over but not to badly I don't think.
We started the weekend off with home made pizza's on Friday night - something quick and easy.

Saturday was a busy day, not only was it our actual wedding anniversary but it was also Grand Final day for the AFL so we needed to get everything done so we could all sit down and watch our favourite team, the Saints!!
We went shopping firstly to Springvale to pick up some seafood and fresh herbs, then on to Moorabbin to pick up the crayfish and prawns for our seafood platter. We decided we would splurge but there would be nothing deep fried or even crumbed on the platter - all seafood fresh served either hot or cold and with salad.

The weekend came to an end with Noel taking the kids and I out for dinner after spending an hour walking along the foreshore at Frankston Beach.... the weather was glorious and we weren't going to waste the afternoon especially as we had all made a huge effort cleaning the house in the morning. I chose something that I wanted for dinner although it did have a creamy sauce (and this will be something I am going to try and re-create at home as it was delish). I decided to use the 9 point rule on my dinner as I did team it with salad.
